I chose L'Auberge solely for its proximity to Château d'Azay-le-Ferron, a place I've been longing to visit. However, what pleasantly surprised me was the availability of a delicious continental breakfast each morning. The variety and quality of the breakfast options exceeded my expectations.
Excessive charges for drinks.

The location is ideal for travellers going further south, and it is situated in a charming village near Argenten sur Creuse. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy with spotless linen. The staff is nice and welcoming, making an effort to make the rooms different and attractive. The terrace is perfect for enjoying an evening meal, and the food is well prepared and served professionally.
The charges for drinks are rather excessive, particularly for a beer, which costs 6 euros.

The value for money at L'Auberge De was excellent! The room was spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel's location in a charming village made it a great base for exploring the nearby Le Brenne national park. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the evening meal was deliciously prepared and served with professionalism.
The only thing that could have made the morning meal better was offering more gluten-free options for guests like myself.

I cannot even begin to express how mind-blowing our stay was at this incredible village gem! The rooms were uniquely designed and absolutely jaw-dropping, with super comfy beds and spotless linen that was revealed with a flourish. The facilities were top-notch, from the terrace for our evening meal to the well-prepared and professionally served food that left us in awe. The hospitality was second to none, with a staff that went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and forget any previous negative experiences. The hot water supply may have been quirky, but once it arrived, the shower was like a little piece of heaven. Situated in a charming village, this place was a perfect spot to explore Le Brenne national park, a hidden treasure that most people simply drive through. The evening meal was exceptionally good, leaving our taste buds begging for more. The staff was super friendly and their efforts to ensure our satisfaction were truly appreciated. an unforgettable experience and we cannot wait to return!

The drinks at the hotel were quite expensive. We found that the charges for drinks were excessive, especially for a simple beer.
